The plan sets out their actions to prevent, mitigate and respond to the mental health impacts of the pandemic during 2021 to 2022.The plan gives details of how the £500million, announced in the Spending Review, to support recovery of the Long-Term Plan ambitions for mental health will be allocated. Whilst recovery across all mental health services should ensure it is considering the needs of individuals with learning disability and autistic people, and making reasonable adjustments, £31m has been specifically allocated to support specific Learning Disability and Autism projects and is one-off, non-recurrent money for 2021/22£31 million to address particular challenges faced by individuals with a learning disability and autistic people, who are struggling with their mental health, and to support faster discharge from mental health settings back into the community.
