This support could be provided through a range of activities such as information giving, improving understanding of the scheme, provision of technology and direct assistance. It is essential that the support provided via the grants scheme leads to applications submitted to the Home Office. The grant scheme will ensure that the necessary support is available across the UK so that everyone who qualifies for the Scheme can complete the application process by 30 June 2021 and continuing support is available beyond this date.

This will be achieved by training and supporting both staff and volunteers of partner agencies, for whom rights based advice is not the principal activity, so as to develop their capacity to deliver advice. Support for project partners will be complemented by the creation of an advice forum.
