It has over 200 members who are encouraged to volunteer, join the governing body or a committee. Open seven days a week, the centre offers everything from sports programmes for local schools and elders groups, music and media facilities, ESOL classes and other adult education classes, a nursery, and a job club for those with limited access to computers. Our grant will help repurpose the building, relocating the café to face the street and upgrading the sports hall so it can be let out for functions like weddings.
