This two-year project provides a range of activities to build social connections between disabled people in Basildon, Essex, as well as their families and carers. Activities include coffee mornings, advice and support, trips to the cinema and areas of interest, and a Young People’s Programme, to encourage social interaction. There are also be training sessions to develop new skills, e.g., in IT. Participants shape the project via a user forum, evaluation workshops, and by giving individual feedback.
