The funding will allow the organisation to develop a film with carers from minority ethnic communities enabling them to share their experiences of caring. It is hoped this will reduce the stigma of accepting support and breakdown barriers and improve health and wellbeing. The film will then be used to link with the local community and develop community champions who will then raise awareness of the support available and reach families who are isolated and in need of support as well as link them to local support groups.
