This funding £295000 over 5 years (reduced from an initial ask of £350000) will allow Home-Start Bristol to strengthen the services they offer to disadvantaged families with young children under 5. The Home-Start approach centres on trained parent volunteers who befriend and support families in home visits. This funding will allow them to sustain this core service whilst also continuing with new initiatives such as peer support groups and digital support which were developed during the pandemic.
