Outcomes The self-confidence and self-esteem of all participants will increase through learning what they can do and as a result of peer support Through learning new skills, employment-related and creative problem solving skills, they will be in a much better position to obtain work, set up their own business or undertake the necessary accredited training for their chosen career. Most will know exactly what they want to do next and many will be working or well on the way to this by the course end. Through developing their creative thinking skills, they will be able to consider new areas of employment and be better able to address personal problems. As well as achieving Objective 1, there will be evidence of successful outcomes re Objectives 2 & 3: improved well-being and self-worth as a result of working productively with others facing similar issues. Peer support from this new social network is very likely to continue long after the course, based on previous experience, Overall participants will have a sense of achievement and feel happier because of it. Some previous participants comments: This course has been really important for me. It helped transport me over a potentially depressing/sticky patch and enabled me to find out about work opportunities I wouldnt otherwise have known about. Im good at more than I thought. Barriers are mostly in my head and can be managed and overcome. 'i've got this far in 10 weeks; what could I achieve in another 10 weeks!' I really enjoyed myself and have taken steps to better my future you helped me get my life on track and started me on the road to a better life for me and my son.
