SCDA supports partnerships between voluntary, statutory and private sectors to address needs across five integrated work streams: Health and Wellbeing; Employability; Advice and Inclusion; Community Development; Care and Support. Together with people living in the fund’s benefit area, we will co-create a range of recreational group activities in and around the South Downs National Park (SDNP) that benefit their health and wellbeing alongside building social connections. We will bring together groups of people who are facing health inequalities and not currently benefiting from local green and open spaces, and who share some common experience (e.g. long-term health condition) and facilitate group activities such as walking groups and arts & crafts. We will aim for group activities to become self-sustaining and overcome barriers to accessing SDNP and local green spaces.
