WAR CHILD

War Child protects, educates and stands up for the rights of children in war. We work in 15 countries in Africa, Asia, the Middle East, and Latin America. We understand children's needs, respect their rights, and support their recovery; from providing education for displaced children, to reintegrating child soldiers or promoting justice for children in detention to providing livelihood options.
Analysis by Giving is Great

Positives:

  • The charity has received backing from a grant maker
  • There have been no material income shortfalls in recent years
  • The Board appears to be well diversified in terms of age and dynamic in terms of composition

Financial issues to consider:

  • Unrestricted reserves appear to be dangerously low at the latest year end
  • Fundraising costs are high relative to funds raised
Established: 26 years
