CLAREMONT PROJECT (ISLINGTON)

Claremont is about people having opportunities to shine and live happier, socially connected and engaged lives. We work especially with thosemost vulnerable to the social determinants of health ÔÇô people who are older; those stressed or experiencing psychological difficulties; people who are lonely, isolated, socially excluded or marginalised; and young people with self-esteem and life skills needs
Analysis by Giving is Great

Positives:

  • There have been no material income shortfalls in recent years
  • Fundraising costs are unusually low relative to funds raised
  • A significant proportion of recent income was derived from major grant makers and there are significant future grants due to be received
  • The Board appears to be well diversified in terms of age and dynamic in terms of composition

Regulatory & Governance issues to consider:

  • The Board is predominantly male

Financial issues to consider:

  • Liquidity appeared to be considerably in excess of CC guidelines at the latest year end especially considering the historic stability of income
  • Income has been volatile recently but spending has been maintained
Established: 26 years
