This is a new pilot project that aims to help older isolated members of rural communities in Somerset have a better quality of life. The project will recruit 'village agents' who will use networks such as village halls, community events, local shops, pubs, community groups, churches and coffee mornings to identify people who struggle to access services. They will provide advice and assistance and signposting and will encourage people who are isolated to become more involved in their local communities.
