This is the expansion of a project reducing loneliness and isolation for disabled people in Bristol, South Gloucestershire, North and North East Somerset, and Bath. Meetings, drop-in sessions and activities will be offered by volunteers, many of whom are disabled and have used the service. There is also a helpline to signpost people to specialist information and support. A new strand of the project will be a telephone befriending service to make the first steps towards people accessing face-to-face support.

The project will be largely delivered by trained volunteers who will use their personal experiences of living with a disability to break down barriers to give advice on various issues. Regular events will happen in the city with inspirational speakers.
