Homeless People and the Oxford Churches (Gatehouse) will use the funding to support the full project costs of some of its current core services. These include a takeaway cafe at their drop in centre which provided nearly 1000 meals per month for 216 rough sleepers in the second half of 2020. Other services offered include a womens group therapeutic workshops and more. The Gatehouse is unique in that it operates a policy of free services and access for all without the need to prove a local connection or a complicated referral pathway. This is important as they are able to support those people who are hardest to reach most marginalised and are unable to obtain support from other local services.
